COVID-19 Update As Of June 9: 556 New Cases Appear, But The Good News Is Recovered 410 Patients

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 71,032 specimens were examined with the results of 556 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,058,736 people and active cases have increased by 139 to 4,061 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, June 9.

Today's recovered cases increased by 410 cases, bringing the total to 5,898,040 recovered people. Then, positive confirmation that 7 died and a total of 156,635 people.

The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 276 cases and a total of 1,252,550 cases. Followed by West Java with 86 new cases with a total of 1,107,178 cases. Banten has 79 new cases and a total of 293,604 cases. Then, East Java with 34 new cases and a total of 576,575 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 138 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an additional 60 recovered cases, Lampung with an additional 39 recovered cases, and East Java and Papua with an additional 32 recovered cases each.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 99,325,518.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 1.00 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 3,339 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 200,732,120 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 167,922,197 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

Meanwhile, the third dose of vaccination is 47,212,227. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
