DIY Implements PPKM Level 1 In All Regencies/Cities

YOGYAKARTA - The Government of the Special Region of Yogyakarta has officially implemented a level 1 restriction on community activities (PPKM) in five regencies/cities.

The implementation of the PPKM is stated in the instructions of the Governor of DIY Number 16/INSTR/2022, regarding the implementation of the restriction on community activities at level 1 signed by the Governor of DIY Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, Tuesday, June 7.

"This instruction is valid from 7 June 2022 to 4 July 2022," the Sultan said in the Ingub quoted by Antara.

In the Ingub, there are a number of relaxations, including the non-essential sector, which is now allowed to work from offices with 100 percent capacity for employees who have been vaccinated and are required to use the PeduliLindung application.

Supermarkets, hypermarkets, traditional markets, grocery stores and supermarkets that sell daily necessities have 100 percent capacity for visitors.

Likewise with the capacity of cinema visitors, it was increased from the previous 75 percent to 100 percent by screening all visitors and employees.

"Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by their parents. Children aged six to 12 years must show proof of vaccination at least the first dose," said Sultan.

Tourist attractions and other public areas are allowed to open at 100 percent capacity by implementing health protocols, and using the Visiting Jogja application for managers and visitors who will enter tourist sites.

Next, congregational worship or religious activities in places of worship are also allowed 100 percent by implementing stricter health protocols.

"Keep wearing masks correctly and consistently when carrying out activities outside the home," he said.

Previously, the Director General of Regional Development at the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) Safrizal explained that in the extension of the PPKM this time, all regions in Indonesia were at level 1 of PPKM and only 1 district was still at level 2, namely Teluk Bintuni.

"We should be grateful that after more than 2 years of struggling with the COVID-19 response, in the extension of the Ministry of Home Affairs this time we see the conditions are getting better. All regions (128 regencies/cities) in Java-Bali are at PPKM level 1," said the Director General for Adwil Ministry of Home Affairs Safrizal.
