JAKARTA - The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo visited the painting exhibition Pesona Budaya Nusantara at the Central Java Cultural Park Building in Surakarta. Ganjar was amazed by the 150 paintings by top artists from various regions in Indonesia.

“I met painters who came from various regions. Some are from all over Java, some are from Bali, Bengkulu, Batam, Jogja, Kalimantan, Lampung, and many more. All of them exhibit their paintings and of course, their works are very beautiful, with various expressions that are developed," said Ganjar in a written statement distributed by the Central Java Provincial Government, Saturday, June 4.
In Bung Karno Month, Ganjar continued, his party tries to provide space for artists to express themselves. There is painting, music, traditional arts, and others.
"Yesterday there was also a puppet show. We try to give them space to be artists, to express themselves. And it seems that if we look at the faces of the artists, their faces are rosy again because they are able to exhibit. And of course, this is happy because above all that humans strive for, happiness is number one," he said.

“This award is extraordinary because the Province of Central Java facilitates us, gives us space, and Mr. Ganjar is very kind. This is extraordinary, because after two years we have fallen, thank God we can now express ourselves again,” he said.
