Watching Formula E Race Live, Puan: Entertainment For Indonesian People

JAKARTA - The chair of DPR, Puan Maharani, has complied with the invitation of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan to watch the Formula E event. She also hopes that the world electric car racing event will further enhance Indonesia's positive image.

"The governor was invited to watch the Formula E race," said Puan while watching the Formula E event at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC) in Ancol, North Jakarta, Saturday, June 4 in her official statement.

Puan watched the Formula E race at the VVIP Tribune with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), DKI Governor Anies Baswedan, MPR Chair Bambang Soesatyo, Head of the Formula E Jakarta Organizing Committee (OC) Ahmad Sahroni, and the Chief Championship Officer and Formula Co-Founder E Alberto Longo.

In addition, there are also Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board, Bahlil Lahadalia. Puan was present accompanied by a Member of the House of Representatives for the DKI III Dapil, Charles Honoris.

While watching the race, Puan sat between President Jokowi and the Governor of DKI Anies Baswedan. Every now and then, the first woman who served as Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives seemed to be conversing with Anies.

"Alhamdulillah, the event went smoothly," said Puan.

Mitch Evans won the 2022 Formula E race after overtaking Jean-Eric Vergne. Puan hopes that the excitement of the Jakarta E-Prix 2022 can increase Indonesia's good name in the world of international racing.

"And I am quite happy because the Formula E race brings entertainment to the people of Indonesia," said Puan.
