JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs responded to the findings of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) regarding the distribution of social assistance (bansos) which were indicated to be not right on target and have the potential to harm the state of IDR 6.93 trillion.

Social Minister Tri Rismaharini said the BPK's findings had been followed up within five days.

According to the Minister of Social Affairs Risma, the findings submitted by the BPK are temporary findings that are usually done, to be submitted to the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"So, that's how it is, we have to answer, thank God it's over. We have to work on it for one week, thank God it's finished in five days and can be accepted," said Risma as quoted by Antara, Friday, June 3.

Risma believes that the Unqualified Predicate (WTP) received by the Ministry of Social Affairs can answer these findings. "Because it's not just a written answer, but it's checked in the field whether the person is there, with the data from the BPK and us," she said.

Previously, a member of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), Achsanul Qosasi explained that IDR 5.5 trillion was distributed to names that were not included and not registered in the Integrated List of Social Welfare (DTKS).

That is, people who are not on the list also receive. So, from IDR 120 trillion of social assistance, BPK conducted a sampling with a valid examination, and IDR 5.5 trillion was not included in the DTKS.

BPK asked the Ministry of Social Affairs to provide a list of recipients of the social assistance amounting to IDR 5.5 trillion.

Achsanul said there was a data update problem, because many regions were not orderly in updating the data on social assistance recipients in their respective regions.

In addition, Achsanul mentioned the practice of regional leaders in a number of regions who only gave a list of names of the successful teams that chose them to receive social assistance.
