280 Thousand People In Installment Arrears In Medan, BPJS Provides Installment Scheme

SUMUT - The Health Social Security Administration (BPJS) provides installment payments through a gradual contribution plan (rehab) program for more than 280 thousand people in the city of Medan, North Sumatra (Sumut).

"Participants in arrears in April 2022 were 280,183 people. However, they can use the rehabilitation program," said Head of BPJS Kesehatan Medan Branch, Sari Quratul Aini in Medan, quoted from Antara, Saturday, May 28.

This rehabilitation program, he continued, is provided for BPJS Health participants who have contributions in arrears of more than three months or four to 24 months who can pay the arrears in installments.

Through this program, participants can register in advance by downloading the JKN mobile application at the play store or BPJS Kesehatan care center 165.

"This arrears is a maximum of 24 months. Even though for example it is up to five years in arrears, it is only 24 months. So participants can register first for this rehabilitation program," he explained.

Through this rehabilitation program, he said, there was an increase in payment of contributions from the previous 331,000 more participants of BPJS Kesehatan Medan Branch in arrears due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Data from BPJS Kesehatan Medan Branch stated that as of early May 2022, there were 2,155,806 registered residents of Medan City or 85.37 percent of the total 2,525,677 people in this area.

"For example, Rp5 million in arrears. He can make this Rp5 million in four installments, that's fine. Participants can pay four times in a row, and the current month's dues," explained Sari.
