Case Documents Of Ade Armando's Persecution Transferred To Central Jakarta Prosecutor's Office

JAKARTA - The police have handed over the case files and evidence for six suspected molesters against social media activist Ade Armando to the Central Jakarta District Attorney's Office (Kejari).

Head of the Intelligence Section Bani Immanuel Ginting said the delegation was carried out by investigators from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police on Wednesday, May 25 afternoon. He said the indictment had been prepared so that the case could be submitted to the Central Jakarta District Court.

"Yesterday it was delegated by the Metro Jaya Police investigators to the Public Prosecutor at the Central Jakarta District Attorney," Bani said in his statement, Thursday, May 26.

The six suspects for persecuting Ade Armando are Komar Bin Rajum, Al Fikri Hidayatullah, Marcos Iswan, Abdul Latip, Dhia Ul Haq, and Muhammad Bagja.

The six suspects were detained for 20 days at the Metro Jaya Police detention center starting from May 25 to June 13, 2022. They were charged with Article 170 Paragraph 2 1 of the Subsidiary Criminal Code Article 170 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 7 years imprisonment.

"The suspects are suspected of having committed a criminal act openly and with collective energy using violence against people, namely the victim on behalf of Ade Armando," he said.

As is known, Ade Armando was beaten badly by a group of people when the All-Indonesian Student Executive Board (BEM SI) held a demonstration in front of the DPR Building in Jakarta on Monday, April 11.

According to his colleague and secretary of the Indonesian Movement for All (PIS), Nong Darol Mahmada, Ade Armando came to mingle with the masses in front of the Jakarta DPR Building to create YouTube content.

He said that the moment of demonstration in front of the Parliament Complex in Senayan Jakarta yesterday was deliberately visited by Ade and his team to create PIS content.

"One of the PIS movements is creating content and this action event will be used as content for the Indonesian Movement for All (PIS) movement," said Nong Darol during a virtual press conference, Monday, April 11.
