JAKARTA – The deathly Pajero driver who hit a motorbike and car driver on Jalan MT Haryono, South Jakarta, was secured by Polda Metro Jaya. Police officers have conducted a crime scene (TKP).

Meanwhile, the taxi driver at the scene, who was also a victim of the collision, recounted the moments of the accident that claimed 5 victims, 2 of whom died at the scene.

Kokoy said he was very surprised when his taxi car was hit from behind by the Pajero.

"The motorbikes were crushed by my car too, one motorbike was crushed, many were injured and two people died." added Kokoy.

Kokoy also said that according to his recollection, there were 7 motorbikes that were victims of the accident.

"About 7 motorcycles were knocked out. Traffic conditions were jammed, the Pajero was fast. The driver has been taken into custody by the police, around 8 o'clock." Kokoy explained.

Kokoy admitted that he suffered material losses.

“First, I wanted to go back to the airport in the end it didn't happen. The second time, the third time I couldn't pull it because of the condition (the car was damaged). I also got stuck in traffic, walking slowly. It was really hard for him to hit her." Kokoy concluded.

As previously reported, the fatal accident occurred on Jalan MT Haryono, South Jakarta, Wednesday, May 25. Two people were reported killed and 3 people injured after being hit by a Pajero car.

According to information, the driver of the Pajero car experienced convulsions so that he could not control the car that was traveling at high speed.

Until the car swayed, the Pajero finally hit 5 motorbikes on the side of the road. According to witnesses, the impact was so strong that the first motorcyclist died at the scene.

Hendar, one of the witnesses at the scene said that the victim who died was one of the online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojol). The victim who died was still wearing a helmet and green jacket.

According to the witness, the ojol driver was carrying passengers. However, the condition of the passenger is not yet known.

"One passenger, I don't know if it's a passenger or his brother is being ridden. Another victim is a hospital employee." said Hendar when interviewed at the scene, Wednesday, May 25.

So far, the victims have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
