SEMARANG - The Central Java Provincial Government under the leadership of Governor Ganjar Pranowo received an unqualified opinion (WTP) on the Central Java Provincial Government Financial Report (LKPD) 11 times in a row including 2021.
The submission of the Central Java Province LKPD with the WTP opinion was carried out by the Head of the Central Java Province BPK Representative Ayub Amali to the Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo at the Plenary Meeting with the Central Java DPRD in Semarang, Wednesday, May 25.
Ayub explained that the financial audit is part of the BPK's constitutional duties and the purpose of the financial audit is to provide an opinion on the fairness of the financial information presented in the financial statements.
According to him, the examination is carried out on two types, namely financial and performance reports.
From that inspection, BPK assessed the effectiveness of the online Samsat application and asset administration, then in 2021 the remaining Rp1.43 trillion in Budget Financing, there was an increase of 66 percent compared to Silpa 2020.
"From a number of these examinations, BPK gave a WTP opinion on the 2021 financial statements and BPK hopes that the results of the report will give more encouragement, so that the provincial government is more accountable in the implementation of its financial statements," he said.
Nevertheless, Ayub continued, there are still some problems that need to be paid attention to by the Central Java Provincial Government, including the problem of administering fixed assets and presenting motor vehicle tax receivables.
Governor Ganjar Pranowo said that this achievement could not be separated from the role of all stakeholders in Central Java, including the Central Java DPRD.
The number one person in Central Java emphasized that the 11th WTP award he received this time did not make him feel satisfied.
"It doesn't mean we're just having fun, there were some notes that were given to us on how to manage our assets," said Ganjar.
The management of assets in question, among others, relates to infrastructure and the records it receives are related to certification so that it will cooperate with the National Land Agency to improve performance.
"The improvement is to improve the system, everything must be data-based, so the data must be clear and clean first, then treatment," he said.
With this evaluation, it is hoped that the budget that has not been maximized can be allocated to encourage poverty reduction efforts.
"The notes from the BPK serve as corrections for the Central Java Provincial Government," said Ganjar, who has been governor of Central Java since August 2013.
