KSP Is Optimistic That The COVID-19 Pandemic Ends This Year

JAKARTA - Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Moeldoko said he was optimistic that the COVID-19 pandemic would end this year in line with the start of the transition process from the pandemic era.

"Thus, in the future we can focus more on economic recovery," said Moeldoko in a press release quoted by Antara, Tuesday, May 24.

Moeldoko conveyed that Indonesia's success in entering the transition period after the pandemic was the result of the hard work of all components of the nation under the command of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

He said that the motto of Indonesia Tough, Indonesia Grows, has aroused cooperation from all lines, from health workers, members of the National Armed Forces (TNI)/National Police (Polri), the COVID-19 Handling Task Force from the central government to the Neighborhood Unit (RT/RW) level.

"The motto of Indonesia Growing, Indonesia Tough is a representation of the spirit and soul of the Indonesian people, including mothers who have to head over heels in managing the household economy and teaching children at home," he said.

Moeldoko also expressed his gratitude for the Achievement Award or award given by the digital media Times Indonesia Network.

“Thank you for crowning me as the National Tangguh Father. This award is also for the heroes who are at the forefront of handling COVID-19," said Moeldoko.

Meanwhile, Director of the Times Indonesia Network Sri Widji Utami said that the award (Achievement Award) was given because Moeldoko had really worked in handling COVID-19.

"He has initiated and directly supervised COVID-19 handling programs such as the Tangguh Command Post program that exists at the RT/RW level and the Sejiwa program. Pak Moeldoko is also one of the figures who echo the term health protocol," said Sri Utami, who is often called Naning, as quoted from the statement from the Presidential Staff Office (KSP).

Naning also detailed several other public figures who received the Achievement Award, such as President Joko Widodo and several ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.

"We also give awards to Mr. President Joko Widodo, several ministers, regional heads, and community leaders. The assessment involves experts, academics, and of course the editorial board of Times Indonesia," he said.
