KENDARI - Abeli Sector Police, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi confirmed the discovery of an unidentified corpse floating in Kendari Bay, Lapulu Village, Abeli District, the area.

Abeli Police Chief, AKP Muhammad Ady Kusuma, in Kendari on Tuesday, May 17, said that his party received information from the public that an unidentified body was found around this morning and then headed to the place.

"We received a corpse floating around 06.30 WITA, then members were dispatched to the location", he said, quoted by Antara.

He revealed that the identity of the corpse was not yet known and an evacuation was immediately carried out by the local Police Doctor team.

"(The body) was taken to the Bhayangkara Kendari Hospital", he explained.

According to him, the body is estimated to have died about three or four days ago.

Residents of Lapulu Village, Abeli District, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi were shocked by the discovery of a corpse behind the Fisherman's Fuel Filling Station, Tuesday, May 17 at around 06.15 WITA in the morning.

The unidentified body was found by a local fisherman named H Ali. The body was found floating on the water.

H Ali said the figure of the corpse wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt and short black pants was seen by his crew who were about to take their child to school.

"My member who was guarding the ship wanted to take my son to school, suddenly he told me that there was a corpse near the ship", he said.
