DPD Chairperson La Nyalla Asks The Public To Pay Close Attention To Every Offer Of Furoda Hajj

MAKKAH - Chairman of the DPD RI AA La Nyalla Mahmud Mattalitti paid special attention to the offer to fulfill the Furoda Hajj which is rife on social media.

La Nyalla appealed to the public to pay close attention to the offers of each Furoda Hajj so that there would be no problems in the future.

"The Furoda Hajj offer is massively offered on social media. So that there will be no problems in the future, the public must be careful, they must first check and examine the existing offers," said LaNyalla who was on a working visit to Saudi Arabia, Sunday (15/5/ 2022).

The senator from East Java also appealed to the public to be careful in choosing travel or hajj organizers specifically for Furoda Hajj.

This is because the Special Hajj Organizers (PIHK), or special Hajj travel companies that depart for Hajj, have an obligation to report to the Minister of Religion.

"The public should register at the official PIHK. This means that the public must be careful if they want to use the services and purchase this product. Don't register with an unlicensed Hajj organizer," he said.

La Nyalla also hopes that the government can clarify the process of obtaining a visa for this matter. Because, Furoda Hajj is a special invitation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

"The government must respond to the many offers of Furoda Hajj through various social media channels. The process of getting a visa and others must be clarified so that there are no problems when he departs for Hajj," said LaNyalla.

He understands the emergence of this phenomenon. Because, the interest of the Muslim community to perform the pilgrimage is quite high. Meanwhile, the queue was quite long.

"It is natural that there is the Furoda Hajj phenomenon. However, if it is offered massively to the public, it should also be questioned. It is feared that it will give birth to allegations of illicit Hajj pilgrimages carried out by unscrupulous individuals," he said.

Furoda Hajj is the implementation of Hajj with a visa obtained through an invitation from the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia outside the quota for Hajj visas that have been allotted to the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia.

Departure for Hajj using a Mujamalah visa or better known as a Furoda visa is legal.

The regulation is contained in Law No. 8 of 2019 concerning the Implementation of Hajj and Umrah.

In Article 17, Hajj visas outside the Indonesian Hajj quota are prohibited from being used by pilgrims.

The prohibition as referred to in paragraph (1) is exempted for Indonesian citizens who receive an invitation for a Mujamalah Hajj visa from the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to carry out the Hajj.

Article 18 states that Indonesian citizens who receive an invitation for a Mujamalah Hajj visa from the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as referred to in paragraph (1) must go through a Special Hajj Organizer (PIHK) or a special Hajj travel company.
