GARUT - All state civil servants (ASN) within the Garut Regency Government, West Java, are gradually undergoing swab tests to detect the spread of COVID-19 after the 2022 Eid leave and holidays.

"This antigen swab is a follow-up to the circular issued by the COVID-19 Task Force, in order to anticipate the spread of the virus after the holidays and Eid leave," said Yeni Yunita, public relations officer for the Garut COVID-19 Task Force in Garut, quoted by Antara, Friday, May 13.

He said that the implementation of the swab test for ASN in the Garut Regency Government was targeted at as many as 13 thousand people, which was carried out en masse in each of their respective agencies.

The swab test, he said, was aimed at detecting the early spread of the COVID-19 outbreak in the work environment of the Garut Regency Government after the Eid holiday, as well as increasing the number of investigations so that the PPKM level in Garut fell from level 2 to level 1.

"We invite colleagues in the SKPD to do a 'swab' test, and if they are unable to attend because of illness or others, they can coordinate with the nearest puskesmas so that they can get an antigen 'swab' test service," he said.

He added that the swab test for ASN was in accordance with a circular issued on May 11, 2022 which instructs all heads of regional apparatuses to ensure that their employees have done the swab test before May 15, 2022.

"This testing is also one of the complete documents for the additional payment of ASN income," he said.

Head of the Association of Indonesian Health Centers in Garut Regency, Amilia, added that the medical team at the puskesmas was instructed to conduct an antigen swab test for all ASN in their respective regional work units.

The target, he said, is to be able to carry out swab tests for as many as 13 thousand people which must be completed by May 15, 2022.

"Today we are carrying out the swab instructed by the Regent to follow up on the implementation of PPKM in Garut Regency which has risen to level 2, where one of the factors is because our testing numbers are lacking," he said.
