JAKARTA - The General Elections Commission (KPU) will hold a meeting for further consultations (konsinyering) with the DPR this week to discuss the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) this week.

There are two important things that will be discussed, mainly the stages and budget for the political contestation. The plan, this activity will be carried out from Friday, May 13 tomorrow to Sunday, May 15 next.

"The focus is on two things. The stages of the election and the budget, especially the budget needed to be disbursed in this 2022 activity," he added.

Hasyim said that based on the KPU's calculations, the amount of budget needed by his institution to hold simultaneous elections reached Rp. 76 trillion. So, with this meeting, it is hoped that all will be clear.

Hasyim said the consignment will also discuss the duration of the campaign. There are several options presented by the KPU to the DPR later.

"There are several options which one is the most possible, yes. Not the best but the most possible. The most possible is what we choose," he said.

"Hopefully and later the RDP will discuss the stages, hopefully it will be enough just once," said Hasyim.
