Police Investigate Girl's Death At Semarang City Hotel

SEMARANG - Polrestabes Semarang, Central Java, investigated the death of a 4-year-old girl at a hotel, Jalan S. Parman, Semarang City, who was suspected of being the victim of a homicide.

Head of Criminal Investigation at the Semarang Polrestabes AKBP Donny Lumbantoruan said the incident of the death of the boy with the initials KA was revealed when hotel officers checked room 229 about the victim and his mother, RSS (34), staying overnight.

"Hotel staff contacted room 229, wanting to confirm that they would leave or extend their stay," he said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, May 10.

At around 16.00 WIB, he said, officers came to room 229 to confirm whether the residents of Banyumanik, Semarang City, and their children would extend their stay or not.

When the officer arrived, RSS admitted that he was still taking a shower and would take care of the administration of the extension of the stay at the receptionist. However, until 18.00 WIB the guest did not come down.

The hotel clerk, according to him, then returned to room 229 to confirm the extension of the stay.

"The hotel clerk came with the master key to open the door," he said.

When checked into the room, continued AKBP Donny, the victim was lying stiff beside his mother on the bed. The hotel staff then reported the incident to the police.

From the initial examination, according to him, no injuries were found on the train boy's body. Meanwhile, the victim's mother was detained for questioning about the unfortunate incident.
