JAKARTA - The house of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, worth £1.3 million, which is located in south London, was hit by a car in the early hours of Monday.
Neighbors said the incident sounded like thunder when a black Vauxhall Astra rammed into the front garden of the property in the Camberwell area around 1 am.
As a result of the incident, the car damaged fences and trees, knocked down pillars, and left debris in the driveway. The car could only be towed from the location around 5 pm.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and appeared to be picking up his belongings from the side door of the vehicle before being pulled over.
"Officers arrived and found a car that had crashed into the exterior of a property, causing minor damage," a spokesman for London's Metropolitan Police said, according to The National News on May 10.
"The driver of the car suffered minor injuries and was examined by paramedics, but did not require hospitalization. No violations were identified."
PM Johnson bought the four-bedroom property with his wife Carrie for £1.2m in July 2019, according to Land Registry documents.
