West Java Police Chief States That Homecoming And Backflow Running Smoothly

Cirebon - West Java (Jabar) Regional Police Chief (Kapolda) Inspector General Suntana ensured that during the homecoming and return flow for Eid 2022 in his jurisdiction, there were no significant traffic jams.

"I don't dare say this is successful or not. But in accordance with my main duties in West Java, we can see that there is a smooth flow of traffic (mudik and back) compared to 2019," said Inspector General Pol Suntana in Cirebon, Monday 9 May.

Inspector General Suntana said that during the back and forth flow, both arterial and toll roads in his jurisdiction were still monitored smoothly, there was no significant congestion.

Even when entering the peak of the homecoming and return flow, the north coast artery route, which is experiencing congestion, said Suntana, vehicles can still move at a speed of 30-40 kilometers per hour.

"Alhamdulillah, in general, at the peak of the flow of going back and forth on the north coast lane, the wheels rotate at a speed of 30-40 kilometers per hour," he said, quoted by Antara.

According to him, success in handling traffic flow during the homecoming and return flows is the cooperation of all parties, including the TNI, Polri, Dishub, Satpol PP, and so on.

Suntana also thanked the people who had obeyed the traffic rules, so that during this period it could run smoothly, without any significant problems.

"Hopefully this (success) can be our capital in the future and this is all thanks to the cooperation of all of us and the discipline of the community," he said.
