9-Year-Old Child Dies Drowning In Green Canyon Karawang

KARAWANG - A 9-year-old child is reported to have died after drowning in the Green Canyon waterfall attraction, Karawang Regency, West Java.

"The victim is only 9 years old, named Aditya, a resident of Tambaksari Village, Tirtajaya District, Karawang", said Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Karawang Regency, Yasin Nasrudin, quoted by Antara, Friday, May 6.

The incident of the death of a 9-year-old child while traveling in Green Canyon Karawang occurred on Thursday, May 5.

At that time, the victim drowned because he was separated from his parents' grip while playing in the Green Canyon Karawang waterfall area.

The rescue team that was searching for the victim later found him still in critical condition and was immediately taken to the Cariu Health Center, Bogor Regency for treatment. However, the victim's life could not be saved until he died.

The Green Canyon tourist area is located at the border point between Karawang Regency and Bogor Regency.

In this year's Eid holiday season, the Green Canyon tourist attraction has become one of the tourist attractions in the southern Karawang area, Karawang Regency, which is crowded with visitors from various regions.
