JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and the first lady, Iriana received a visit from the Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto who came to stay in touch during the Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijri. During the visit, Prabowo and Jokowi had time to talk while eating opor.

After meeting with Prabowo at the Agung Building, Yogyakarta Presidential Palace, Jokowi said this visit was carried out as a form of friendship. The general chairman of the Gerindra Party, he continued, was present accompanied by his son, Didit Hediprasetyo.

"This morning I was visited by Mr. Prabowo and Mas Didit in the context of gathering on this Fitri day, this Eid al-Fitr", said the President in his statement after the meeting, Tuesday, May 2.

During the meeting, Jokowi and Prabowo had various conversations but admitted that there was no talk about politics or the economy.

According to the former Governor of DKI Jakarta, the most important thing from the meeting was friendship and mutual forgiveness.

"Earlier we talked a lot but things were light", he said.

"It's not good politics, it's not. The economy is also not, everything we talk about is light. I think the most important thing is that we have mutual relations, and also forgive each other. The most important thing is that", added Jokowi.

Meanwhile, Prabowo claimed to have received the great honor of being accepted by Jokowi and his family on this Eid day. According to him, it has become a tradition on the first day of Eid to stay in touch with leaders.

Not only talking, at that moment Jokowi had invited Prabowo to eat typical Eid dishes, one of which was opor.

The former Danjen Kopassus added that he also ate other menus, such as meatballs and tempe bacem.
