Bogor Regent Ade Yasin Follows In The Footsteps Of His Brother Rachmat Yasin Who Was Also Arrested By KPK

JAKARTA - Bogor Regent Ade Yasin was secured by a task force team from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in a hand arrest operation (OTT) which was carried out from Tuesday, April 26, evening to Wednesday, April 27 in the morning. Ade was arrested along with a number of parties.

"(The arrested parties, ed) include the Bogor Regency Regent, several parties from the West Java Representative BPK and other related parties," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri to reporters, Wednesday, April 27.

Ade Yasin is the second incumbent Bogor regent and was arrested by the KPK. The regent before Ade was arrested by the KPK was Rachmat Yasin. Apparently the two have a family relationship, Rachmat Yasin is Ade Yasin's older brother.

Ade Yasin is known to have served as Bogor Regent since 2018, supported by the United Development Party (PPP) with his partner Iwan Setiawan.

Ade before becoming a regent was recorded as a lawyer and served as Deputy Chair of the Bogor Regency DPRD for the 2009-2014 period. Experience in the world of lawyers makes Ade has many connections.

According to Wikipedia, Ade's full name is Ade Munawaroh Yasin, who was born in Bogor, West Java, May 29, 1968.

Previously, Deputy Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nurul Ghufron said that some money was secured by his subordinates during an arrest operation (OTT) that ensnared Bogor Regent Ade Yasin. But he did not specify how much money was found.

"KPK is actively making arrests in the Bogor area, West Java, and has secured several parties and some money and other evidence," said Ghufron in a written statement to reporters, Wednesday, April 27.

Ghufron did not want to say much about the arrest. Because the arrested party is undergoing investigation.

"We are conducting an investigation, after which we will convey the details of the case," he said.
