JAMBI- The National Road Implementation Center (BPJN) provides 12 resting places along the Lebaran 2022 homecoming route in Jambi. This step is taken so that travelers who are sleepy or tired can take advantage of the available rest locations.
"The Jambi IV National Road Implementation Center has established 12 'rest areas' equipped with service posts along the homecoming route throughout Jambi Province," said Head of BPJN IV Jambi Bosar Pasaribu in Jambi, Tuesday, April 26.
He said, among the 12 resting places, there were several service posts, some of which functioned as disaster posts, such as on the national road on the Bangko route to the West Sumatra border, precisely in Muara Emat and Siulak, Kerinci Regency and SungaiFull City.
This step, he said, was taken in the light of previous experiences, where the homecoming route in Kerinci and SungaiFull was prone to landslides.
Therefore, BPJN Jambi established a disaster post in the area. Through the disaster post, the emphasis is on handling disaster victims by providing other equipment.
Bosar Pasaribu also said that the post established by BPJN Jambi along the homecoming route could later be used by travelers to rest.
"It's not as luxurious as the 'rest area' on the toll road, but travelers can use it to rest and later we will also equip it with clean water and toilet facilities," he said.
BPJN Jambi ensures that the roads in Jambi are ready for travelers to pass on Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijriah.
Currently, a number of roads are in the process of being repaired, especially on roads with potholes, which can endanger travelers when using the national road, while the national road markings in Jambi have also been repainted.
