MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police have investigated the alleged fraud by selling cheap cooking oil in a packaged form via social media. The Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police, Commissioner Artanto, confirmed the investigation based on reports from a group of residents who claimed to be victims of fraud from the sales mode.

"Reports are that sales are made through social media. Reportedly, packaged cooking oil is sold cheaply", said Artanto in Mataram, Antara, Monday, April 25.

Regarding the allegation, he also confirmed that his party was currently reviewing the residents' reports. Account owners who are suspected of having received purchase order money are also included in the investigation series.

"Later, when the report is reviewed, we will clarify the parties to see the elements of the criminal offense", he said.

The report of a group of residents who felt they were victims of fraud from selling cheap cooking oil was submitted to the NTB Regional Police on Friday, April 22.

They reported a woman from Pohgading, East Lombok Regency, with the initials SPU (35), who was suspected of committing fraud in selling cheap packaged cooking oil via social media.

One of the reporters, Winda, admitted that 45 people were victims of fraud. The money that has been submitted to the reported varies. Starting from IDR 4 million to hundreds of millions. "I myself handed over the money of up to IDR 122 million", said Winda.
