Secretary General Of PAN Reports Back To Lawyer Ade Armando Muanas Alaidid About Defamation

JAKARTA - Secretary-General of the Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN), Eddy Soeparno, reported Muannas Alaidid, Ade Armando's lawyer, to Metro Jaya Police. Reporting related to alleged defamation.

"In making a report, we have made a report on the case of defamation through electronic media, the reported ones are Muannas Alaidid and his friends", said Eddy to reporters, Monday, April 25.

This report was made because Eddy Soeparno was previously policed by Ade Armando for similar allegations. The report follows Eddy Soeparno's tweet on his Twitter account. He wrote the initials AA on his Twitter account as a religious blasphemer

In fact, Eddy said his tweet was just a form of aspiration or expressing his views. Therefore, according to him, it is not defamation.

"I convey a message on social media that is part of the aspirations of the constituents that I channel. What are the aspirations of the constituents? That is the issue of law enforcement with justice", he said.

In addition, Eddy Soeparno said the reporting had an impact on his good name. So, decided to report back.

"Then we responded with insults both on behalf of myself and my family. This became the basis for us to make a report", said Eddy.

Eddy Soeparno's report was received and registered with the number STTLP/B/2107/IV/2022/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA dated April 25, 2022.

In the report, Muanas was reported under Article 27 paragraph 3 in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph 3 of the Republic of Indonesia Law number 19 of 2016 concerning ITE and Articles 310, 311, 315 of the Criminal Code.

Previously, Muannas Alaidid, Ade Armando's attorney, reported Eddy Soeparno to the Metro Jaya Police. This report relates to allegations of defamation.
