BANTUL - The Bantul Police, Yogyakarta Special Region, destroyed thousands of bottles of liquor, firecrackers, and exhaust blobs resulting from an operation to create conditions and diseases of the community which was intensified during Ramadan 1443 Hijriah.

The destruction of liquor, which was run over using heavy equipment and firecrackers thrown in the water, was carried out in front of the Bantul Regent's Office Complex after the Ketupat Progo 2022 Operations Squad held, Friday, April 22 afternoon.

The Bantul Police Chief AKBP Ihsan said that the Bantul Police were backed up by the Kodim and Civil Service Police Units (Satpol PP) one week before and during the month of Ramadan carrying out operations to create conditions and operations for people's disease (concentrated).

"One of the targets is alcohol (liquor) including firecrackers and 'blomboan' exhausts, we destroyed today as many as 2,500 bottles of alcohol and 112 blombongan exhausts, and 250 firecrackers," he said as quoted by Antara. maintain security and public order (kamtibmas) in Bantul Regency during the month of Ramadan, and will continue to be activated to maintain a conducive situation.

"This is our effort to maintain the security and security situation, especially in the holy month of Ramadan so that Bantul remains conducive and we hope that in the future Bantul will be more conducive and we can prevent things like this early on," he said.

The police chief said that in tackling community diseases, the local government, Kodim and Bantul communities needed support.

"Because this is the root cause of all crimes. People will commit street crimes, brawls, and others usually influenced by alcohol, drugs, and so on. For this reason, we touch on the root of this problem," he said.
