JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 119,693 specimens were examined with the result that there were 651 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,043,246 and active cases have fallen by 10,182 to 21,037," said Health Ministry data, Friday, April 22.

Today's recovered cases increased by 4,635 people, bringing the total to 5,840,945 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 37 cases and totaled 155,974 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 215 cases and a total of 1,246,607 cases. Followed by West Java with 112 new cases and a total of 1,104,832 cases. Central Java with 108 new cases and a total of 626,676 cases. Banten with 45 new cases and a total of 292,052 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to Papua with an additional 7,917 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an additional 1,103 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 983 recovered cases, and DKI Jakarta with an additional 410 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 94,695,148.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 1.25 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 3,416 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 198,739,666 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 163,709,692 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 34,280,741. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
