Get Quota Assurance, AMPHURI Departs First Group Of Hajj Early July 2022

JAKARTA - The Muslim Association of Hajj and Umrah Organizers of the Republic of Indonesia (AMPHURI) is ready to dispatch the first batch of special Hajj pilgrims 1443H/2022M in early July 2022. In line with the determination of the Hajj quota that has been given by the Government of Saudi Arabia to Indonesia.

"We're just waiting for the list of names that was handed down from the Ministry of Religion's Integrated Hajj Information and Computerized System (Siskohat) to release the names. If we leave, it's at the beginning of July 2022", said AMPHURI Deputy Head, Muhammad Azhar Gazali, Wednesday, April 20.

Azhar said that his party was still grateful even though the special hajj quota of 1443H/2022M was set at 7,226 pilgrims and was less than the 8 percent quota by the provisions of Law Number 8/2019.

Later, said Azhar, the special hajj quota of 7,226 will be further divided among eight hajj associations in Indonesia. Meanwhile, AMPHURI is estimated to get a quota of approximately 2,000 pilgrims.

"We are with the government, we should be grateful that Hajj can be carried out this year. Regarding the quota given to us, the government is indeed the policymaker, we follow the regulations issued by the government", he said.

Azhar said that the reduction of the hajj quota by the Saudi Arabian government had indeed lengthened the waiting period in Indonesia. But on the other hand, he said, it makes it easier for the government to regulate the implementation of the pilgrimage because of the small number of pilgrims.

"I think the government will find it easier and easier to take care of hajj pilgrims. Likewise, ONH Plus too, because there are not many who have taken care of the fall", he concluded.

It is known, that the Ministry of Religion officially received a quota of hajj 1443H/2022M from the Saudi Arabian government for as many as 100,051 people. The first batch is expected to depart on June 4, 2022.

The Ministry of Religion has prepared six things for the departure of pilgrims. First, immediately issue a decree of the minister of religion regarding the distribution of provincial quotas. The quota is distributed to each province.

Second, the Ministry of Religion will re-confirm to pilgrims who have paid the 2020 Hajj fees and are entitled to be included in the list for the 1443H/2022M hajj quota. Third, the Ministry of Religion will soon complete the process of preparing airlines for the 1443H Hajj pilgrims.

Fourth, is the completion of the stages of service provision in Saudi Arabia, both accommodation, consumption, and transportation. Fifth, the Ministry of Religion has started the process of processing visa documents. Sixth, the Ministry of Religion is preparing a scheme for forming group crews and departure groups for each province. The Ministry of Religion will combine some of the remaining pilgrims who have not yet departed to the nearest area.
