Bogor City Government Collaborates With Chef Association To Distribute 2,022 Portions Of Fried Rice For Free Iftar

BOGOR - The Bogor City Government, West Java, collaborated with the Indonesian Chef Association (ICA) to distribute 2,022 portions of Kebuli-flavored fried rice as a free iftar menu in a series of events or the 2022 calendar of events during Ramadan.

Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto said that this activity was impressive because it was able to serve a dish for breaking the fast of Kebuli rice which is rarely served for free, so this year's calendar of activities during Ramadan started with a creative start.

"Yesterday, for the first time, I shared takjil using kebuli-flavored fried rice. Yes, usually small ones, dates. It's amazing, very grateful to ICA friends for sharing takjil in the heart of Bogor City," said Mayor of Bogor Bima Arya as quoted by Antara. , Wednesday, April 13th.

According to Bima Arya, the collaboration between the Bogor City Government through the Tourism and Culture Office (Disparbud) and the support of various parties needs to be appreciated, given the importance of collaboration to revive the Ramadan atmosphere as usual as well as to generate economic optimism.

The expertise of the chefs in serving 20.22 servings of fried rice for the people of Bogor City needs to be imitated by residents to share with each other during this Ramadan.

The activity was sharing takjil while cooking 'Fried Rice Endemic Kebuli Seasoning 2022' near the Tugu Kujang Police Post, Jalan Pajajaran, Bogor City, Tuesday (12/4).

The series of activity calendars, said Bima, will continue to practice economic recovery and the enthusiasm of Bogor residents to make Ramadan to see new potentials for activities.

Chairman of ICA BPC Bogor Raya, Zahakir Haris said, sharing takjil and cooking is a routine event in the Bogor City activity calendar.

It was first implemented in 2017, supported by several parties including kokita, cooking spices. Continued in 2018 and 2019, but was delayed in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the takjil sharing activity, ICA BPC Bogor Raya specifically made 2,022 portions of kebuli spiced fried rice according to this year's figure.

"When collaborating with Disparbud before we started, they already informed guests staying at the hotel, so it is hoped that this activity will become a destination because it will consistently be carried out every year," he said.

In a series of activities during this Ramadan, he said, later there will also be making 300 portions of maqlubah rice for the surrounding community and those passing through the Tugu Kujang area as the center of Bogor City.

In the future, ICA BPC Bogor Raya will also hold a Bogor Breakfast Festival by making 5,000 servings of soto rice.

"Our goal with the provision of cooking skills is to share takjil, which targets the local community, pedestrians and visitors who want to go to the mall and in the future we can make gelosor noodles as a takjil menu in the following years," he said.
