JAKARTA - The Election Organizing Honorary Council (DKPP) has imposed a permanent dismissal on the non-civil servant employee (PPNPN) of the South Nias Regency Bawaslu, Fredikus Famalua Sarumaha.

"Imposing a permanent dismissal sanction to Teradu III Fredikus Famalua Sarumaha as staff of the PPNPN Bawaslu South Nias Regency as of the date this decision was read out," said Assembly Chair Alfitra Salamm reading out the verdict in Jakarta, Wednesday, April 13.

DKPP imposed sanctions on Fredikus in the hearing of the verdict on the violation of the election organizers' code of ethics (KEPP) for case number 14-PKE-DKPP/III/2022 which was reported by Suaizisiwa Duha.

DKPP assessed that Fredikus was proven unprofessional and had injured the credibility and honor of the Bawaslu institution of South Nias Regency for several violations of the election organizer's code of ethics.

First, Fredikus, who is the younger brother of South Nias Regency Bawaslu member Pilipus Famazokhi Saramuha, who once complained to the South Nias Regency Bawaslu Chairperson, Harapan Bawaulu to DKPP with case number 137-PKE-DKPP/V/2021.

In addition, he has also complained of alleged violations of the code of ethics by the chairman and members of the South Nias Regency KPU with case number 148-PKE-DKPP/V/2021.

In the examination hearing held on March 28, 2022, according to the assembly, it was revealed that Fredikus attached evidence which was a secret belonging to the South Nias Regency Bawaslu for the complaints of the two cases.

"DKPP is of the opinion that Teradu III's use of confidential documents without going through the PPID Bawaslu procedures for South Nias Regency is not justified according to the law and ethics of election administrators," said assembly member Ida Budhiati.

In addition, Fredikus was also proven to be involved in a dispute and argument with the South Nias Police Satlantas apparatus while still wearing his office uniform on March 11, 2020.

As a result of the incident, the officer was injured and reported to the South Nias District Police, so that Fredikus was detained by the police.

Even though they have made peace, DKPP is of the opinion that Fredikus' actions are not justified according to the law and ethics of the election organizers

According to Ida, Fredikus should have ethical sensitivity to avoid acts of violence.

"Teradu III should be more careful in acting in the public sphere in order to maintain the integrity, professionalism, and credibility of the election management body," said Ida.

Apart from Fredikus, there are three other combatants in this case, namely two members of the Bawaslu of South Nias Regency, Pilipus Famazokhi Sarumaha (Teradu I) and Alimawati Hulu (Teradu II), as well as the Chair of the Bawaslu of North Sumatra Province, Syafrida (Teradu IV).

DKPP gave a stern warning to Pilipus and Alimawati because they were proven unprofessional when giving a written warning to the KPU for South Nias Regency.

During the examination hearing, the assembly said, it was revealed that Pilipus and Alimawati had given written warnings to the South Nias Regency KPU twice.

This was because Pilipus and Alimawati considered that the KPU of South Nias Regency had not followed up on the recommendation of the Bawaslu of South Nias Regency to disqualify the Candidate Pair for Regent and Deputy Regent of South Nias Number 1 Hilarius Duha-Firman Giawa.

DKPP also believes that the KPU of South Nias Regency has followed up on the Bawaslu recommendation.

Meanwhile, the Chair of the Bawaslu of North Sumatra Province (Sumut) Syafrida, who has the status of Teradu IV, was rehabilitated his good name because he was not proven to have violated the code of ethics for election organizers.
