JAKARTA - A viral video on social media shows a woman entering the mosque with a sharp weapon.

In the video, a woman wearing a black dress can be seen entering the mosque. Not long after, a man approached the woman from behind to grab the knife she was carrying.

The Head of Pesanggrahan Police, Commissioner of Police Nazirwan, said the incident occurred in Petukangan Utara, Pesanggrahan, Thursday, April 7, at 05.12 WIB.

He confirmed that the woman with the initials Y (44) had the status of ODGJ (people with mental disorders). This is known based on family information.

"The person concerned has been under stress for 10 years, and is still being treated," said Nazirwan when contacted, Friday, April 8.

Nazirwan explained that this case had been resolved amicably, because the residents had known that the perpetrator had a mental disorder.

"But in essence, the mosque management does not have a problem, because they know that the local residents are concerned. So this is resolved by the family," he said.
