Booster Vaccination In West Aceh Constrained Vaccine Stock Is Empty

MEULABOH - The stock of COVID-19 vaccine in a number of health facilities and warehouses at the West Aceh District Health Office is still empty, so it is difficult for people to get booster vaccinations.

"So far, it is still empty, we are still waiting for the delivery from the Aceh Provincial Health Office," said the Head of the West Aceh District Health Office, Syarifah Junaidah in Meulaboh as reported by Antara, Tuesday, April 5.

He explained, as of Tuesday night, only 168 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were available in West Aceh Regency, including 132 doses at the Cut Nyak Dhien Meulaboh Regional General Hospital, West Aceh Regency.

"The vaccine stock at the Meulaboh Hospital is of the Pfizer type," said Syarifah Junaidah.

Meanwhile, the stock of the COVID-19 vaccine at the Teuku Umar Meulaboh Health Detachment Hospital, he said, was 36 doses of the Sinovac type.

Syarifah Junaidah also added that currently the vaccine stock in the warehouse belonging to the West Aceh District Health Office was also empty, after most of the vaccine stock was distributed to the public through the vaccination program.

Due to the absence of the vaccine, the implementation of booster vaccination or the third dose of vaccination for the people in West Aceh Regency is temporarily not possible.

"We ask the public to be patient, if the vaccine has arrived, then the vaccine injection will be resumed," said Syarifah Junaidah.
