The Government Will Hold Vaccinations At Night After Tarawih Prayers

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said the government would hold a COVID-19 vaccination at night. This vaccination begins after the Tarawih prayer.

"The government will carry out vaccinations when the Tarawih is over," said Luhut at the Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) evaluation press conference, Monday, April 4.

In addition, during the month of Ramadan, the government will also hold vaccinations in public places such as stations/airports/bus terminals, crowd centers (malls), and places for homecoming.

Luhut said this effort was made to maintain the momentum of achieving COVID-19 vaccination. Where, since it was announced as one of the conditions for this year's Eid homecoming, the daily vaccination rate for booster vaccines throughout the Java-Bali Province has shown signs of a fairly high increase.

"For this reason, the government specifically requests all Forkompimda throughout Java-Bali to continue to maximize the achievement of second and booster doses of vaccination," said Luhut.

"This is done solely to keep the pandemic moment in good condition," he continued.

In this regard, the government has set a policy that people who have received the third or booster dose of vaccination are free to return to their hometowns.

Meanwhile, for people who have just carried out the second dose of vaccination, they can still go home but must complete a negative COVID-19 antigen test result within 1x24 hours or 3x24 hour PCR.

For people who are still undergoing the first dose of vaccination, they are required to do a 3x24 hour PCR test and attach a negative COVID-19 result before traveling.

Children under 6 years old do not need testing but are accompanied by a travel companion who meets the travel requirements. Then children aged 6-17 years are not tested but must show a second dose of vaccine.

Meanwhile, for people with certain health conditions that have not been vaccinated, they are required to carry out PCR testing 3x24 hours and attach a certificate from a general practitioner or local hospital.
