CENTRAL LOMBOK - The Central Lombok District Attorney signed a contract with PDAM Lombok Tengah, West Nusa Tenggara in the context of fostering and mitigating legal problems that exist internally or externally.

Central Lombok Regent, H Lalu Pathul Bahri, said he strongly supports PDAM to cooperate in legal education with the Central Lombok District Attorney. There are almost 52,000 customers of PDAM Lombok Tengah and many are still in arrears in payment so it becomes the operational burden of PDAM (Local Water Company).

"With the condition of the people of Central Lombok which has begun to vary, many outsiders have also come to Central Lombok. So this development collaboration is very necessary to continue", said H Lalu Pathul Bahri, quoted by Antara, Friday, March 25.

He said, related to the need for understanding the law, many people fell by small stones instead of big stones. So the collaboration between PDAM legal issues and the Prosecutor's Office is very good to solve the challenges currently being faced by PDAMs.

"So we can build Central Lombok to be even better", he said.

The potential for local revenue (PAD) from PDAM through the development of bottled water can be maximized in the future because various events will be held in Central Lombok and the number of tourists who will come is quite a lot.

"With the potential for visitors to MotoGP yesterday which reached 100,000 people, it is important for PDAM to make bottled water so we can sell it there. If one person buys 1 bottle of mineral water multiplied by the number of visitors, then the local revenue can be maximized through this PDAM", he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Central Lombok District Attorney's Office, Fadil Ragan, expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm of the PDAM to improve the implementation of clean water management. PDAM even though the management is not running as it should, PDAM is still enthusiastic about the success of Central Lombok's development

"Water is the most crucial thing in our lives. Without water, we can't do anything. So water management must also be good", he said.

This legal assistance is a continuation of the MOU that has been running in the previous year and after being evaluated it is a bit vacuum. However, this year, we invite all to work together to increase it again, because PDAM's problem is the difficulty in billing with many arrears.

"We will study it comprehensively first so that there is a solution to the problem", he said.

He said the need for socialization with a humane approach in billing so that people can be aware of paying for water on time. Regarding illegal connections, from a legal point of view, this is already a theft offense, just like electricity, but this is the last approach we will take.

"We will provide guidance first so that we can guarantee legal certainty", he said.
