Former Deputy Chairperson Of BPK Targeted By KPK, Allegedly Communicating Regarding The Management Of Tabanan Regional Incentive Funds

JAKARTA - Investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) have examined the former Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), Bahrullah Akbar as a witness on Tuesday, March 22. He was questioned regarding allegations of corruption in the administration of the Regional Incentive Fund (DID) in Tabanan Regency, Bali.

From the examination, the investigators investigated a number of things, including the matter of special communication that he did.

"Bahrullah Akbar, the former Deputy Chairman of the BPK was present and confirmed, among other things, regarding the existence of special communication for the management of the 2018 DID funds between witnesses and parties related to this case," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri in a written statement, Thursday, 23 March.

In addition to examining Bahrullah, KPK investigators also examined Yuddi Saptopranowo, who is a civil servant from the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. This examination was held on Wednesday, March 23.

To Yudi, there are a number of things that have been confirmed by investigators. Including, regarding the personnel administration of the parties suspected of being related to the alleged corruption in the administration of the Tabanan Regency DID.

As previously reported, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has admitted that it is conducting an investigation related to alleged criminal acts related to the process of administering incentive funds in Tabanan Regency, Bali.

Investigators have even searched a number of locations such as the PUPR office, Bappelitbang, the Tabanan Regional Finance Agency, DPRD, and the residences of parties related to the case. The complete information on the results of this investigation will be conveyed in its entirety if there is sufficient evidence and forced detention efforts are made.
