An Electric Short Circuit Occurs In The Engine, The Box Car Catches Fire At KM 33 Cipayung In The Direction Of Kampung Rambutan

JAKARTA - One unit of a box-type truck with the police number B 9762 FXR was found charred by fire. The incident occurred on the Bambu Apus Toll Road, in the direction of Rambutan, KM 33, Bambu Apus Village, Cipayung District, East Jakarta, Wednesday, March 23, evening.

The truck fire incident was reported to the Fire Station at around 18.38 WIB. Furthermore, East Jakarta Gulkarmat officers were dispatched to the scene.

"Officers arrived at the location at around 19.00 WIB. After arriving at the location, five officers only carried out data collection. Because the fire was extinguished at around 19.40 WIB," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Head Gatot Sulaeman to reporters, Thursday, March 24.

From the results of the inspection, the fire was successfully extinguished by the Jasa Marga officers using an APAR. The officer also asked for information from the truck driver with the initials SW.

From SW's statement to the Gulkarmat officer, when crossing KM 34 lane B in lane 1, the driver felt there was a disturbance in his vehicle.

"The driver then pulled over to the shoulder of the road. When checked, it turned out that there was a fire at the bottom and burned the engine," said Gatot.

Almost all parts of the truck driven by SW were burned. Luckily, there were no casualties or injuries as a result of the fire. But the driver suffered a considerable loss.

"Losses reached IDR 50 million. The fire came from the burning of the car engine area, the cause is still being investigated," he concluded.
