Commemorating World TB Day, Makassar City Health Office Invites The Community To Prevent Tuberculosis Disease Through The Sobat TB Application

MAKASSAR - The Makassar City Government through the Health Service invites the public to carry out early detection of tuberculosis.

Head of the Makassar City Health Office, Nursaidah Sirajuddin, explained that his party was continuing to track people suspected of contracting tuberculosis through the Sobat TB application.

The Makassar Health Office hopes that all elements of the Makassar City community will participate in checking themselves through the TB Buddy application to help the city government break the transmission of tuberculosis in Makassar.

"We hope that the city government, especially the Makassar City Health Office, in this case, is the leading sector. Regarding TB control, the community welcomes the application, buddy. On World TB Day, we hope that the community really understands that this is a disease that we must solve together Not only the city government, but let's work together, the community will work together to break the chain of TB transmission," said Makassar Kadinkes, Nursaidah, Wednesday, March 23.

Nursaidah said tuberculosis is a special concern in Makassar City. His party is targeting 6,000 screening of Makassar residents.

"Yesterday in 2021, we targeted 6.000 of what we had targeted for screening but we only reached 3.000 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now we are targeting 6.000 for 2022, with the TB application being maximized for socialization, our target can be achieved for 2022," she explained.

The Sobat TB application from the Ministry of Health has confirmed that Nursaidah can be accessed by Makassar residents.

"From the application, residents fill in their data, everything can be seen there. Whether the unexpected or the unexpected, the unexpected means that we evaluate to carry out further checks. With sputum, if the BTA sputum is positive, we will automatically continue for 6 months of treatment," explained the Makassar Health Office.
