Japek KM 26+367 Toll Road To Jakarta Is Being Repaired, Estimated Completion 27 March

JAKARTA - Road users are asked to be aware of the potential for congestion that may occur during the repair of the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) toll road to Jakarta this week.

"Jasa Marga apologizes for the inconvenience caused by the work in question, as well as urges road users to anticipate the journey," said General Manager Representative Office 1 Jasamarga Transjawa Tollroad Regional Division (JTTRD) Muhammad Taufik Akbar in Bekasi, West Java, Tuesday, March 22.

Taufik explained that the rigid pavement reconstruction work this time is located at Kilometer (KM) 26+367 to KM 26+267 outside the shoulder of the 100-meter Jakarta route starting last night with an estimated completion date of Sunday (27/3) at 01.00 a.m. local time.

"There are no closures due to this work. The Jakarta-Cikampek toll road sections towards Jakarta and the direction Cikampek are still operating normally," he said as quoted by Antara.

Jasa Marga has prepared risk mitigation, including diverting the affected traffic flow before the work area, narrowing the work area, preparing counter-points in case of heavy vehicle traffic conditions, as well as coordinating with related parties.

Jasa Marga has also socialized the work plan by installing outdoor media in the form of job warning banners and variable message signs in both directions of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to ensure this information is well received by road users.

Taufik said the road repair work is in order to improve safety and comfort for road users as well as Jasa Marga's efforts to improve minimum service standards.

He appealed to all road users to anticipate the trip by ensuring the vehicle is in top condition, has sufficient electronic money balance, and refuels before starting the trip.

"Always obey health protocols and travel requirements according to government regulations and be careful and obey signs, especially around work locations," he said.
