Bobby Once Quipped, Akhyar Excused Himself From The Election While Reminding The Sub-district Head Not To Flood The Field

JAKARTA - Acting Mayor of Medan Akhyar Nasution temporarily excused himself from taking part in the Medan Regional Head Election. Akhyar warned his staff to remain neutral while working optimally, including in handling floods.

Akhyar reminded the sub-district heads to continue to monitor developments in their area related to weather conditions. This is because now it has entered the rainy season so that flood management efforts must be made.

"Optimize the work that we have set, specifically for the sub-district head, to maximize the work of the existing P3SU, monitor every drainage channel, especially this is the rainy season, so don't let puddles disturb the community," said Akhyar Nasution as quoted by VOI, Thursday, September 24.

Akhyar also advised the Medan Municipal Government ASN to remain neutral. Akhyar reminded his staff to focus on working according to the program set by Pemko Medan.

"In accordance with the existing regulations, I instruct all ASNs in Medan City to maintain their neutrality in this year's Pilkada," said Akhyar.

In the meeting that continued to apply the health protocol, Akhyar Nasution asked all Pilkada administrators including law enforcement officials to keep the 2020 Pilkada running. Akhyar hopes that people can exercise their voting rights independently and without pressure.

"We must protect the implementation of this Pilkada together so that the free people exercise their voting rights and produce leaders who are really expected by the community," continued Akhyar.

Akhyar Nasution who ran in the Medan Pilkada paired up with Salman Alfarisi carrying the Medan Cantik program. Improving infrastructure including flood management is the focus of Akhyar who is paired with Salman Alfarisi.

"In fact, the entire Medan area will be of our concern. All areas, some of which we have not handled, will be handled. Our focus is on improving infrastructure to make Medan City beautiful, reducing flood spots, "said Akhyar at RSUP H Adam Malik, Medan, Wednesday, September 9.

Akhyar who is also the Acting Mayor of Medan also wants to improve health program services. Akhyar wants to develop Pirngadi Hospital.

"We don't just focus on one point, but all of them," he continued.

Meanwhile, the candidate for Medan mayor, Bobby Nasution, once talked about the current condition of Medan. Apart from the problem of infrastructure, the problem of flooding was also mentioned by President Jokowi's son-in-law.

"(Regarding) the program, we have seen from yesterday, convey what we have changed is how our bureaucracy can be clean, transparent. Medan City already has IDR 30 trillion. The road is still damaged and flooded, ”said Bobby after undergoing a medical in Medan, Wednesday, September 9.

In addition, Bobby also touched on the performance of the Medan Government regarding the development of MSMEs. "Pemko should be able to provide UMKM market as well, so that UMKM can stretch," he said.
