Announcement Of Alistan Corruption Suspect In East Lombok Awaiting Audit Results

NTB - Special criminal investigators are waiting for the results of the audit of state losses in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of agricultural tools and machinery (alsintan) in 2018 in East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara.

"If there is a loss audit result, we will hold it to determine the role of the suspect," said Head of the East Lombok District Attorney's Office, Irwan Setiawan in Mataram, as reported by Antara, Monday, March 21.

The audit of the loss, he explained, is currently underway at the NTB Representative Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).

Irwan said the search for potential state losses by the NTB BPKP Expert Team was in the final stages of counting. He confirmed it based on the last coordination with the audit team.

"So soon it will be completed (counting state losses)," he said.

Although he has not pocketed it from the experts, he said, investigators have obtained potential state losses based on independent calculations which reached Rp. 1 billion.

"Although investigators have obtained independent scores, they need further reinforcement, that's from the experts," he said.

The role of the suspect in this case is confirmed by Irwan to have been pocketed by investigators. The alleged criminal element in this case leads to the allegation of Article 2 and/or Article 3 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20/2001 concerning Amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31/1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.

This machineries assistance comes from the budget of the Directorate General (Directorate General) of Agricultural Infrastructure and Facilities (PSP) of the Ministry of Agriculture. The value distributed reached Rp. 2 billion. The budget was distributed to the recipients, namely 21 farmer groups and three machineries service businesses (UPJA). The types of equipment distributed included water pumps, rice transplanters, agricultural sprayers, and four-wheel tractors.

In the indication of deviation, the machineries distributed to the recipients are not in accordance with the planning specifications. There are even some machines that have been distributed that have been sold and are not working.

By finding these indications, he said, investigators confiscated goods from a number of recipients.
