More And More Elderly People In Belitung Have Received The COVID-19 Vaccination

JAKARTA - A total of 9,281 elderly residents in Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, have received the first dose of vaccine injection. This amount is equivalent to 68.79 percent of the target.

As quoted by Antara, Sunday, March 20, Head of Disease Prevention and Control of the Belitung Regency Health Office, Joko Sarjono, said that the second dose of vaccination had been carried out on 8,238 elderly people or 61.06 percent of the target and new booster vaccinations were given to 1,227 elderly people or 19,10 percent of the target.

Meanwhile, in the target group of the population aged over 12 years, the first dose of vaccination has been carried out on 123,634 people or 85.26 percent of the target, the second dose of vaccination has been carried out on 112,126 people or 77.32 percent of the target, and booster vaccination has only been carried out on 12,515 people or 9.83 percent of the target.

In the target group of children aged six to 11 years, the first dose of vaccination has been carried out on 16,797 children or 102.21 percent of the target, and the second dose of vaccination has been carried out on 14,431 children, or 87.81 percent of the target.

"We urge people who have not participated in the COVID-19 vaccination program to immediately follow the vaccination program at the public health center and available vaccination outlets", said Joko.
