'Injection Gets Cooking Oil,' Central Kalimantan Provincial Government Efforts To Boost Vaccination Coverage

PALANGKA RAYA - The Provincial Government of Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) took the initiative to give a gift in the form of cooking oil to every citizen who wants to take part in the COVID-19 vaccination, at the Madurejo Health Center, West Kotawaringin Regency, Saturday, March 19.

"This cooking oil is from the provincial government, through the Disaster Management Agency," said Head of the Central Kalimantan Health Service, Suyuti Syamsul, as reported by Antara, Saturday, March 19.

According to Suyuti, the distribution of the cooking oil package was deliberately done to attract the public's interest in participating in the government's vaccination program. The rule is that every citizen who has received a vaccine injection will receive a one liter package of cooking oil.

So far, the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, Suyuti, said that it continues to take a number of steps and strategies to speed up the vaccination process to achieve the target of community immunity.

It's funny, the implementation of the vaccination with the prize of cooking oil immediately received a positive response from the community. This activity can be carried out in collaboration with the Central Kalimantan Health Office with the Madurejo Health Center as the implementer in the field.

Meanwhile, the Head of the West Kotawaringin Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Syahruni, said that the amount of cooking oil available for this vaccination was 550 packages.

"This cooking oil from the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government is then distributed through the Madurejo Health Center to the community," said Syahruni.

The vaccination program that is being held this time is not only aimed at the local community, but also for the general public, which includes vaccines of dose one, dose two and also dose three or booster.

"We are grateful that the enthusiasm of the community is extraordinary to be able to participate in this vaccination," said Syahruni.
