Four Floor Building Collapsed, Three People Become Victims

JAKARTA - Monday morning, January 6, which was quiet in the Palmerah area, West Jakarta, was suddenly crowded with a crowd of residents. Not because of a crime, but because of the collapse of a four-story building on the side of Brigadier General Katamso's road.

For no apparent reason, the building on the ground floor was used as a mini market collapsed. In fact, as a result of the incident, three people were injured.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus, said that the collapsing incident occurred at around 09.10 WIB. In addition, based on the results of the provisional examination of eyewitnesses, the condition of the building has indeed been considered dangerous since the last few years.

Even though the building's condition is quite worrying, the building is still being used for activities without any repairs.

"The condition of the tilted building has been around for two years," said Yusri in his statement, Monday, January 6.

Until this news was published, the evacuation process was still being carried out by several related parties. Meanwhile, regarding the injured victims, West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Office AKP Rensa Aktadivia added, some of them were online motorcycle taxi drivers and passengers.

Of the three injured victims, two of them were seriously injured. Because, they suffered fractures in the hands and feet. "Currently the victim has been rushed to the hospital. For victims of online motorcycle taxi drivers at the Tarakan hospital," explained Rensa.
