14 Thousand Toyota Raize Units In Indonesia Have Been Recalled, Why?

JAKARTA - Toyota Raize users in Indonesia are worried. The reason is, there are 14 thousand units of Raize in Indonesia that are recalled.

PT Toyota-Astra Motor has officially recalled the Raize type 1.0TS CVT, 1.0TG CVT, 1.0TGM/T, 1.2 G CVT, and 1.2 GM/T with production years between November 2020 and October 2021. The total number reached 14.777 units.

This policy was carried out due to the finding of a problem with the Raize front fender apron connection. This turns out to result in an abnormal sound when the car passes through a damaged or bumpy road.

In fact, under certain conditions, this problem can make vehicle control difficult to control so that it can interfere with the comfort of the driver.

"Safety recall activities for certain products have been carried out by TAM for years as a form of our commitment to prioritizing customer safety and security," said Vice President Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor, Henry Tanoto in an official statement quoted by Antara, Saturday, March 12.

PT TAM has issued an official circular for owners of vehicles that fall into the category on Thursday, March 11. Vehicle owners are advised to immediately carry out an inspection of their vehicle at a Toyota repair shop.

Henry Tanoto apologizes for the inconvenience to the owners of Raize regarding the issue. They will be responsible for this incident.

"Toyota apologizes if it has caused any inconvenience to vehicle owners. However, we ensure the readiness of TAM and the entire Toyota workshop network in tackling this and urge customers to immediately come to an official workshop and carry out a vehicle inspection," he said.

This safety recall activity includes an inspection and repair process that is very easy to do at an official Toyota repair shop and free of charge (free).

The entire network of Toyota repair shops which currently number 73 Body & Paint workshops as well as 297 General Repair workshops spread across all regions in Indonesia are also involved to ensure that customers immediately carry out inspections and repairs.
