MEDAN - The Governor of North Sumatra (Gubsu) Edy Rahmayadi said the political atmosphere in his region ahead of the upcoming 2024 North Sumatra Pilkada had started to heat up.

This condition is called Gubsu Edy because there are a number of groups that are indicated to have played.

"These spectators and supporters like to interfere with the vision and mission, which is what I continue to do (execute the vision and mission)," said Governor Edy, Friday, March 11.

Gubsu Edy emphasized that currently he is only focused on thinking about development and the welfare of the people of North Sumatra until the end of his term on September 5, 2023.

"So that it shakes the political atmosphere inside to interfere with the development that we aspire to. For God's sake, by Allah, there is nothing," he explained.

The former Pangkostrad revealed that he would hold back his political desire to continue the development of the North Sumatran community until the end of his position with the Deputy Governor of North Sumatra, Musa Rajekshah.

"I am also an ordinary person, I have lust and I have desires. But, God willing. For the sake of North Sumatra, we love this, we must endure everything. Because this is a mandate and I will continue like this," he said.

In addition, Gubsu Edy asked that he be prayed for to finish his position as the number one person in North Sumatra until September 5, 2023 well. He emphasized that what he was doing was in accordance with his vision and mission during the 2018 North Sumatra regional election campaign.

"My parents, my brothers and sisters, don't stop praying for us. Because my fathers don't think about politics anymore and in any position so they are more sincere, sincere and whose prayers are heard more than our prayers are still being heard. ambitious in the desires of this life," said Governor Edy.

As for the opportunity to advance again in North Sumatra, Governor Edy will first ask God for guidance.
