JAKARTA - Thick smoke can be seen covering the emergency room at Pasar Rebo Hospital, East Jakarta, Wednesday (9/3) night. The smoke coming from the supply room is thought to have been caused by an electrical short in the backup battery. The panicked hospital staff immediately tried to evacuate a number of patients and medical equipment out of the emergency room. Luckily the fire was extinguished by hospital staff using an extinguisher. Firefighters who arrived at the location immediately installed a blower to remove the thick smoke that was in the ER room.
