JAKARTA - Thick smoke can be seen covering the emergency room at Pasar Rebo Hospital, East Jakarta, Wednesday (9/3) night. The smoke coming from the supply room is thought to have been caused by an electrical short in the backup battery. The panicked hospital staff immediately tried to evacuate a number of patients and medical equipment out of the emergency room. Luckily the fire was extinguished by hospital staff using an extinguisher. Firefighters who arrived at the location immediately installed a blower to remove the thick smoke that was in the ER room. In this incident 10 fire engines were dispatched to the location and there were no injuries or fatalities. Watch the video below.
