TANGERANG - The Environmental and Hygiene Service (DLHK) of Tangerang Regency, Banten, has pocketed a company or factory that has polluted the river flow in Sarakan Village, Pisangan Jaya Village, Sepatan District, a few days ago.

As quoted by Antara, Head of the Tangerang Regency Environment and Hygiene Service, Achmad Taufik, in Tangerang on Wednesday, March 8, said that after reports related to environmental pollution.

Then, he continued, his party immediately followed up and found an industrial company that manages used oil which is suspected of releasing its waste into the local river.

"It has been found, only DLHK friends are compiling the report, which is reported to us for the processing of used oil in Sepatan District, Akong area, owned by PT Cheng Kai Lie", he said.

According to Taufik, the company or factory that manages used oil is located in the Akong area, Sepatan District. Which, from the results of reports in the field, the flow of the surrounding river is also affected by the pollution of the waste produced by the company.

"Currently we are compiling a report related to environmental pollution by the company", he said.

He also mentioned that when the local Environment Service team checked the company's location, the condition was clean and tidy. Because the company immediately fixed it.

"The matter in question has been fixed by the company, but we will wait for the evaluation results from the LHK Ministry", he said.

Previously, it was reported that several residents in Sarakan Village, Pisangan Jaya Village, Sepatan District, Tangerang Regency, complained about the appearance of a bad smell from the river flow which was allegedly caused by one of the waste oil factories in the area.

Deden, a resident of Gren Permata Sepatan, Sepatan District in Tangerang, Friday, March 4, said that every night he and other residents always smelled the smell of oil from the river. The smell caused by it makes residents feel nauseous and dizzy.

"The smell of old oil and the smell of it makes you nauseous and dizzy", he said.
