LSN Survey: Prabowo Subianto's 2024 Most Liked Candidate

JAKARTA - The results of a survey by the National Survey Institute (LSN) place the name Prabowo Subianto as the most preferred presidential candidate in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

Executive Director of LSN Gema Nusantara Bakry, said Prabowo Subianto got 93.9 percent, then Anies Baswedan 92.3 percent, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno 92.1 percent, Ridwan Kamil 87.8 percent.

Then Ganjar Pranowo got 86.5 percent, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama got 85.3 percent, Puan Maharani 81.6 percent, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) 78.2 percent.

Then there are Erick Thohir 77.7 percent, Mahfud MD 71.7 percent, Moeldoko 60.9 percent, Gatot Nurmantyo 54.5 percent, Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar 50.3 percent, Airlangga Hartarto 48.6 percent and La Nyalla Mattalitti 33. 3 percent.

"The data above shows that figures who have participated in the presidential and regional elections, such as Prabowo Subianto, Anies Baswedan, Sandiaga Uno, Ridwan Kamil and Ganjar Pranowo, and Ahok tend to have a higher level of popularity than figures who have never participated in the election. contest," said Gema in an official statement quoted by Antara, Friday, March 4.

Furthermore, said Gema, LSN also uses other variables to read public perceptions related to the names of figures who are able to continue the leadership of President Joko Widodo and make Indonesia better in the next leadership period.

From the LSN data, Prabowo is considered to have a better ability than other figures to bring Indonesia better in the future.

Prabowo Subianto 57.1 percent, Ganjar Pranowo 50.3 percent, Anies Baswedan 46.6 percent, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno 46.5 percent, Ridwan Kamil 45.1 percent, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (BTP) 35.1 percent, Erick Thohir 28 .6 percent, Moeldoko 18.3 percent, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) 17.4 percent.

After looking at the popularity and capability data, LSN also measures what the public's perception of the potential electability of the names of candidates is like. Prabowo Subianto ranks higher than the list of names submitted in the survey.

"When respondents were asked who was the right person to replace Jokowi to become President of the Republic of Indonesia 2024-2029, this was a closed question, so the result was that 21.9 percent of respondents mentioned Prabowo Subianto's name, 19.2 percent chose the name Anies Baswedan, 18.8 percent said the name Ganjar Pranowo," he emphasized.

Then how big is the potential for swing voters that might occur in the upcoming 2024 election, it was found that 51.4 percent of respondents will stabilize themselves in choosing the proposed figure. Then 39.8 percent who are still not stable and have not answered 8.8 percent.

The LSN survey was held on 12-24 February 2022 involving 1,537 in 34 (thirty four) provinces throughout Indonesia. The respondents are those aged 17 years and over or already have an ID card.

The sampling methodology is stratified random or multistage random sampling. Margin of error +/- 2.5 percent, and at a level of confidence of 95 percent, with quality control on the results of field officer interviews conducted randomly at 20 percent of the total sample by LSN supervisors.
