Kris Dayanti Expressed Her Focus And Commitment To Music

JAKARTA - Singer and politician Kris Dayanti stated that his position was to refocus on music, after failing in the 2024 Mayor of Batu Regional Head Election (Pilkada) contestation.

For the 49-year-old singer, music has become so valuable again because the music world has made her name.

"While I returned to music first because music is a culture and means for me to express. My moral responsibility in arts continues," Kris Dayanti told the media crew in Blok M, South Jakarta some time ago.

"As far as I am needed, I will definitely continue to make music," he added.

The 'Mahadaya Cinta' singer also explained what musical projects he would be doing in the near future.

In January, Kris Dayanti will appear at the Super Diva concert, with Ruth Sahanaya, Titi DJ, Lyodra, Tiara Andini, and Ziva Magnolya.

"Alhamdulillah, our promoter, the consortium, January 17, we will have a concert at the Indonesia Arena GBK," said Kris Dayanti.

"Hopefully this will open up music artists in the archipelago to be able to have moral responsibility, not only producing music in recording studios and working on the national music stage," he concluded.

For information, Kris Dayanti started his music career through a music festival. Then he launched his debut solo album with the title "Biasa Saja" in 1987.

Her career as an Indonesian female soloist continued to increase, until she finally joined the 3 Divas in 2006, with Ruth Sahanaya and Kris Dayanti.

Since 2014, Kris Dayanti has started to open his way as a politician. Five years later, he was elected as a member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI).
