COVID-19 Patients In West Sulawesi Increased By 86 People

MAMUJU - Positive COVID-19 patients in the Province of West Sulawesi (Sulbar) increased by 86 people and the total positive cases became 13,844 people.

"The new case-patients who tested positive for COVID-19 in West Sulawesi based on the results of the health laboratory, increased by 86 people, this number increased compared to the previous day which was only around 35 people," said Spokesperson for the West Sulawesi COVID-19 Task Force, Mustari Mula in Mamuju, Wednesday 2 March.

The additional positive COVID-19 patients came from Polman Regency 32 people, Mamuju Regency 20 people, Majene nine people, Pasangkayu three people, Central Mamuju six people.

He also said that the number of recovered patients had increased by 63 people, bringing the total number of recovered COVID-19 patients in West Sulawesi to 12,373 people.

The recovered patients came from Mamuju Regency as many as 63 people, namely Mamuju 26 people, Polman 16 people, Pasangkayu 14 people, Mamasa 4 people, and Majene 3 people.

"Meanwhile, there are no additional patients who died due to COVID-19 cases, and the total number of patients who died in West Sulawesi has now reached 360," he said.

Meanwhile, he said, 1052 patients underwent self-isolation, including 140 in Mamasa Regency, 268 Polman, 163 in Majene, 287 in Mamuju, 68 in Central Mamuju, and 126 Pasangkayu.

Meanwhile, 58 patients were treated, including nine in Mamasa Regency, 15 Polman, 11 in Majene, four in Mamuju, 13 in Central Mamuju, and seven in Pasangkayu.

He asked the public to maintain health protocols and carry out vaccinations to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
