Ambassador Fadjroel Rachman: Regarding The Relocation Of The Capital City Of The Archipelago, Indonesia Can Imitate Kazakhstan

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ambassador to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, Fadjroel Rachman, said the ambassadors who were on duty in Kazakhstan were enthusiastic about the Capital of Nusantara

“When I met the ambassadors in Nur-Sultan Kazakhstan. They asked, what is the name of the new capital city that will replace Jakarta? I answered Nusantara which means Archipelago. When will Indonesia move to its new capital city? God willing, 2024. All congratulations. Everyone is very enthusiastic to hear that," said Ambassador Fadjroel Rachman in a written statement from Borneo Muda received by Antara in Jakarta, Monday.

The statement was conveyed by Ambassador Fadjroel Rachman in a National Webinar by Borneo Muda with the theme “Successful Relocation of State Capitals in the World; Portrait of the Leap of IKN Nusantara Progress", on Saturday, February 26.

In his presentation, Ambassador Fadjroel said that the relocation of the capital city of Kazakhstan from Almaty to Nur-Sultan was initially the development of the old city becoming wider to the left and right.

The name of the old city is Akmola, the same as in Indonesia or East Kalimantan, namely Balikpapan and Samarinda, he said.

He said one of the concepts that can be imitated from Kazakhstan is its ability to create a symbiosis between history and the future.

In Kazakhstan, there are 130 ethnic groups. Indonesia has 1,331 ethnic groups and 718 regional languages. The future capital of the archipelago will be the Bhineka Tunggal Ika storefront. Likewise, the Capital City of Nur-Sultan said Ambassador Fadjroel Rachman regarding IKN Nusantara.
