JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran will involve K9 troops or sniffer dogs to join the Precision Pioneer Patrol Team (TPPP). This is to track when street crime patrols are carried out at night.

Later, K9 troops will enter villages to anticipate or prevent potential brawls. The reason is, lately there have been many cases of brawls carried out by teenagers.

In fact, brawl incidents in Jakarta are often uploaded to social media accounts by certain groups.

"Maybe we can empower K9 to enter the village and leave the village," said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran to reporters, Sunday, February 27. Therefore, Fadil claimed to have built a suitable place for the police dog. Then the food and health of K9 or the dog will also be monitored.

This is so that it can effectively smell evidence of crimes such as narcotics and others.

In addition, Fadil also claimed to have increased the ability of the troops. So that K9 in Jakarta can be on par with New York, Los Angeles. It is hoped that later the troops will be like the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department), and the NYPD (New York Police Department).

"We will continue to develop methods, hopefully there will be JKTPD," he said.
